Ever since the TV show for The Last of Us has been announced, the fans have been discussing who would be the ideal cast for the characters, voicing their suggestions towards Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin.
Ever since it's been confirmed that the series will be about Joel and Ellie, as well as the other characters in the game, and that the renowed composer for the game's soundtrack, Gustavo Santaolalla, will also be composing for the show, we have all been very confident about the series.
By the end of last month, we've shared the news that Druckmann could be hoping that Kaitlyn Denver would play Ellie, since she's one of the people the fans would like to play Ellie the most. Kaitlyn is 23 and she has recently worked on Netflix' miniseries, Unbelievable. She's also the voice and motion capture for Cassie Drake in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
Recently, the actress has talked to Collider and replied if she'd accept to play Ellie in the show.
Well, this is the first time I’m being asked about this. Listen, I am a huge fan of the game, and I don’t know if a lot of people know that, but I’m saying it now; I am a huge fan of that video game. I think it is a beautiful story. It’s just a wonderful narrative, and I fell in love with that game when it came out. And I played it with my dad and we just had the best time.
She has also mentioned she's not the best gamer, that her aim is bad, but she's working on that, and that Druckmann is one of the sweetest and smartest people she has ever known and she would love to play Ellie.
But what about Joel?
Kaitlyn says many people could play the badass character and she agrees with most fans who suggest Hugh Jackman.
I think he should be in everything. - She jokes.
